Mechanical Perforator P-56
The mechanical perforator is lowered into the tubing on the sucker-rod strings down to the target depth. In order to perforate the production tube, the sucker-rods are pulled upwards. The perforator is disconnected from the tube wall by further upward movement of the rods which will allow the perforator to return to the initial position to be eventually withdrawn to the surface.
The perforator is required to perforate the lower end production tubes to drain the liquids before the removal of the tubes.
